Is she a fitness coach or is she a blog writer? Did I miss a memo? What’s going on?
You May Have Wondered — Or Not
Now, it’s possible I’m just an egomaniac and my certainty that you’re watching everything I do is way off the mark.
But seriously, if you’ve been following my fitness page on Facebook, and my fitness blog, Terri Cruce Fitness, you may have seen Terri Cruce Writes and did a double take. After all, the names are somewhat similar and if you’ve connected with me via my fitness site and social media hangouts, then you’ve become accustomed to seeing me post about fitness.
Then, suddenly, here is a completely different site, different name, different focus. What is up with that?
I thought maybe it was a good idea to explain myself a bit and hope that you’ll tag along with me as I dip my toe into a different pool.
Still a Fitness Nerd
First of all, I am still very much into fitness. I am not, and have never claimed to be, a certified trainer or nutritionist or that I have any special certifications in anything related to health and fitness. I am simply a mom of two grown daughters who realized that the passage of time was not settling on me as gracefully as I had hoped. To be honest, it sort of crept up behind me and said “Boo!” I wasn’t paying attention or I was in denial — the jury is still out on that one — but the end result was I knew I had to make some changes.
So that led me eventually to Beachbody and their fitness products and programs. I loved them, still do, and use them daily. It’s simple. They changed everything for me. Made me healthier, fitter and happier. And sharing with others just became a natural extension of that. That is why I became a coach. I remain a coach still. Nothing has changed there.
What has changed is that I have finally decided the time has come for me to pursue something professionally that I have always wanted to do — write.
I love to write. I find that when I am writing, time flies. I lose myself in what I’m doing. Not that it always comes easy. Nothing in life ever completely does. But it’s what I love to do. It’s what I believe I do best. And I’ve been doing it for my own fitness site for some time now.
But whether you’ve noticed or not, I sometimes have a hard time writing just about fitness. I have so many other things I like to talk about, to share, to dig more deeply into. And being restricted just to fitness and nutrition, as much as I love it, isn’t enough.
Terri Cruce Writes
And so Terri Cruce Writes was born.
It is so new that it’s still evolving. But I’m excited about where this new venture may take me. I’m looking forward to opening every new door I approach along the way, discovering whatever path lies beyond.
I am not 20 something anymore. Or 30. Or 40. I’m almost not even 50 something anymore. If I’m going to explore where this will go, the time is now. I don’t want to wait for never.
My current plan is to launch a professional blog writing business to provide writing help to those who either don’t want to do their own writing or can’t find the time to do it. I know there are people out there who need that. I talk to them almost every day.
Where else it eventually leads, well, I’m not quite sure yet. I have some ideas, but they are still unformed and fluid.
But I’ll tell you this: I really can’t wait to find out.
I’m inviting you to come along. I hope you’ll share this adventure with me, even if you don’t need a blog writer. But if you do, well, you’ll be in the right place.
